Because in just a few months our group of talented interns will be leaving us. We’re going to miss them, but the time has come to let a new batch of recruits on board the TimeGhost Team!
Being an intern at TimeGhost is the ideal way for a history buff to spend a gap year or combine with part time studies/work. The internship is online based, runs for 12 months (August 2021-August 2022), and requires that you can work at least 16 hours a week (partly flexible). Education wise we expect a high-school diploma in history as a minimum.
You will primarily be working in two departments:
1. Research & Writing. Here you will be getting scripts ready for filming through fact-checking, research assistance, or even writing sections of episodes yourself.
2. Community Management & Social Media. Here you will be interacting with our amazing fans, for example through monitoring YouTube comments, helping with media strategy, and writing posts for our social platforms.
If circumstances allow, you will also get the opportunity to assist during a filming session in Munich where you’ll be working with Indy, Spartacus, and the rest of the team in person.
We want to make our internship program a truly educational experience, so on top of day-to-day guidance and feedback on your work, core members of the team will regularly hold online seminars. They will cover different aspects of history documentary making and the creative industry in general, from Indy telling you how to keep viewers engaged, to Spartacus giving an in-depth look at the birth of nationalist historiography in the 19th century!
Does this sound like something for You?
In that case, send an email to internship@timeghost.tv with your CV and tell us a bit about yourself. As an example of your writing, research, and commitment, we also want you to provide a 500-word proposal on a future TimeGhost production. It can be an idea for a new series, sub-series, or a specific episode on either TimeGhost History or World War Two. Include a source list that could be used to begin researching your idea.
We’re looking forward to hearing from you!
The TimeGhost Team
